Miss Havisham Continuity

Continuity

Make-up and Hair continuity for TV and film is crucial. It does not matter how good you are at your make-up skill, if the continuity is not correct then the viewers attention will be distracted from the story. It is highly important if you are working on a TV series and in different scenes for example: someone is bruised, that you get the exact same spot every time that you create the look and design looks carefully and precisely so the look can be created more than once perfectly the same with everything precise.

Make-up and Hair Design-

I intended my design to be of the more older age Miss Havisham showing all the wrinkles to make my model look a lot older as she is only 19. I wanted to make the lips chapped so I made them look sore and red.

I know that my hair design is not the best of my ability but I wanted to focus more on the make-up to develop my skills on old age make-up. Even though the Miss Havisham from the film doesn't look like she has much done to hair so I just back combed it and made it white. I probably could of expanded on my design but I was running out of time to get my design together. If I could do it again I would of developed my ideas.

Make-up and Hair Guides for Continuity Timed Assessments-

Continuity 1

The day went well, the designs went exactly how I wanted it to and I think that the look I created looks exactly like my design. I really like what I did to the eyebrows to make them look old using white mascara and white eyeshadow, it was really fun creating them. I enjoyed using my model as I think she worked well with the design and had pale skin so it was easy for me to create my look on her.

Continuity 2-

Unfortunately, on the day I had forgot my vale (fabric) that covered my Miss Havishams hair so it doesn't look quite the same image but I was happy with the make-up and tried as much to image to exact poses from the first continuity timed assessment. To say it was my first continuity I am quite happy with myself but I think if I did it again I would learn from my mistakes and do it a whole lot better, although I am happy with how it turned out and am able to take my own criticism and work on it.
