Art of Gothic

The Art of Gothic episodes I found surprisingly interesting as I progressed in to the series, I am not going to lie, I thought that I would absolutely hate watching it and I thought that it would really scare and freak me out, some parts I skipped because I didn't find interesting or a bit scary but the parts that I did sit down and watched I found so interesting and history actually does interest me and I did not think that it would which was good and I enjoyed it. The parts that I found most interesting was the architecture, I love looking at buildings to get inspiration and hearing all of the history of the buildings and why they are like they are and the inspiration that people got to build them was very interesting and the all sort of buildings were. As I was watching, I was thinking of all the make-up looks that I could create from the Victorian buildings as I love weird and wacky make-up. I am very interested in the mourning that Queen Victoria went through with Prince Albert and am extremely inspired by the love that was there. It made me think if that's why people most these days wear a lot of black, it is such a good colour but also reflects death so it's more contemporary horror in decade that we are in. It was interesting to see al of the different gothic topics that he went through and how much 'gothic' is in our lives, I did not realise at all! I am very glad I watched it and learnt a fair few interesting things that could inspire me.
