Practising Quentin

I had been practising my vampire bites on myself that I was going to create on my character, Quentin. So my model kindly came into the studios so I could practice on his skin and take practice shots to see what poses I was going to go for and what worked, what didn't and what I could improve on for the actual shoot...

Here is a step by step guide to one of the bites that I did:

Step 1-

Apply FX wax using a spatular to create teeth marks and to eventually build up.

Step 2-

When happy with the depth of the wound, apply red, purple and brow eyeshadow to create bruising.

Step 3-

Apply blood

I thought that the bruising looked too big and fake but that was because I didn't blend the wax into the skin as much as I should of. So I went home to practise...
