Great Expectations Review

If I am being brutally honest,  I really don't like the concept and story line of the film and it is not something that I would ever watch. I have had to watch the films in bits because I am such a sucker for horror and 'in the past' films, because they creep me out. I ended up watching the T.V series on Netflix because it had more characters that I knew in other films and programmes so I knew it wasn't real. I love the outfits, make-up and hair styles of all the characters. The character that stands out most to me is Estella because she has been brought up by Miss Havishm to hate and deceive men but after meeting Pip, she does not want to hurt him and warns him to stay away. I love that in the end they get to be together but have to loose so many people in their lives to get there and to be the way that they both want to be instead of what someone else is training them to be. It is a really heartless film but has much love deep within that makes you think about the story line and the characters. In both the film and TV series, there are a lot of beautiful 'looks' that the make-up and hair stylists have created and I would love to look into them all and compare both together to see which I prefer. Both Estella's are beautiful and she is the character that I am more intrigued about so I am excited about researching more into the character.
